Biography

Amanda Jean Louk Simmons, age 65, a former resident of Monterville and more recently, a resident of Hartley Hall Nursing Home in Pocomoke City, MD went to be with the Lord on Sunday evening, August 15, 2010 at the nursing home.

She was born on January 28, 1945, at Monterville, a daughter to the late Edward Junior Louk and Rosa Lee Patterson.

Left to cherish her loving memories are her 4 children, Robert W. Pingley and wife Angel of FL, Janet E. Bloomfield and husband Robert of MD, Charles L. Pingley and wife Nicki of NC and Loretta L. Johnson and husband James of TN; 5 brothers, Troy Louk of GA, Donald Louk of OH, Jennings Louk of MI, Gary Louk of OK, Paul Louk of AL; one sister, Sharon Johnson of FL; one uncle, Carl Brooks of FL; a special sister-in-law, Juanita Phillips of WV; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Saturday, August 21, 2010 frp, 9 to 11 AM, the funeral hour. Rev. Curlie Ray will officiate and interment will follow at the Brick Church Cemetery in Huttonsville.
